29-year old center Vladimir Stimac put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Besiktas and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds for Besiktas in his team's victory, helping them to beat Demir IBB (#9, 3-5) 87-81. Thanks to this victory Besiktas moved-up to the 5th position in Turkish league.
Stimac turned to be Besiktas' top player in his first season with the team. Stimac has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.9ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.6rpg) and averages solid 70.3% FGP.
