Stjarnan (Icelandic Dominos League) confirmed 28-year old American guard Robert Turner III for 2022-23 season.
Robert had an amazing year with Stjarnan, collecting 23.2ppg, 7.0rpg, 5.2apg, 1.9spg in 25 games, cinching the Icelandic Cup and being named Icelandic Subway League Player of the Week 2022 two times.
Turner has played for the previous two seasons at Aurore de Vitre in French NM1 league. In 22 games he was league's second best scorer with impressive 20.5ppg and averaged 3.7rpg, 3.1apg and 1.4spg last season. 2020-21 was a great year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.He is quite experienced player. Turner has played in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Spain (Lleida), ECBL (Fort Gordon E. and Augusta E.), Mongolia (Darkhan Garid, Arhangai Altan Dornod Gold.East Warriors and Zavkhan) and PBA (Georgia Kingz).Turner won Mongolian Superleague championship title in 2017.He attended Texas Tech University until 2015 and it will be his eight season as a professional player.
