Strong game for Ben Strong

Division III star Ben Strong had a 'strong' game against Los Angeles D-Fenders in the the first round of the D-League Quarter-Finals. Strong, who played his college ball at Guilford, put up 27 points and 13 rebounds for Iowa Energy. He shot 11-for-16 from the floor, including an unblemished 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
Strong was excited to be in the playoffs as this is his first taste of professional postseason play here in the United States. He made the Division III Final Four in 2007 for Guilford (he also was named Player of the Year the same season) and also had a postseason taste in the Dutch Basketball League. 'Basketball is a game that is simple and complex,' said Ben. 'The atmosphere here tonight was awesome.. I'm excited to head to L.A.'. Strong and his teammates played before a crowd of 3,735.
