Taurean Green signs with Sidigas Avellino
Taurean Green is officially a new player of Sidigas Avellino. The
American-Georgian point guard spent the season with ASVEL Villeurbanne
averaging more than 10 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Green has already played in Italy with Barcellona in 2012-13, where in 31 games he recorded 12.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.7apg (top 2) and 1.7spg. He
helped them to win the regular season. It was another spectacular year
as he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Italian Lega2 Guard of the Year,
named to 1st Team and named to All-Imports Team.
In 2007 he was drafted by Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) in second round (52nd overall). Green attended University of Florida and it may be his ninth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won SEC Eastern Division championship title in 2007. Green was also voted NABC All-NCAA District 6 1st Team back in 2007 at his college time. Green represented Georgia at the Qualifications to European Championships 2011 five years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 11.0ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.5apg, FGP: 57.7%, 3PT: 31.4%, FT: 80.6%.
