24-year old guard Tyshawn Taylor put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for Mayaguez and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for week 8.
He had the game-high 36 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Mayaguez in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Humacao (#12, 1-8) 95-91. In the team's last game Taylor had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Mayaguez, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Kansas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Taylor is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.4ppg) and assists (8th best: 4.2apg).
