The 3 best players of EuroChallenge round 3 are Interperformances'
As reported by Eurobasket.com, the best performances that took place in the last round of the EuroChallenge are the result of the hard work of three Interperformances' players: Cory Higgins , Zarko Rakocevic and Peter Lorant.
American guard Cory Higgins put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Triumph, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3. The 24-year old player was the main contributor (35 points, six rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Gaz Metan (#2, 2-1) 84-81. It allowed Triumph to take over top position in the EuroChallenge Group D. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Triumph already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Higgins had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Triumph's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Colorado star has very solid stats this year. Higgins is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.7ppg. Higgins is in league's top in and averages impressive 57.1% from behind 3-point line.
The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old Montenegrin Zarko Rakocevic of Kormend. Rakocevic had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Kormend to edge BC Kyiv (0-3) in overtime 103-99. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Rakocevic is a newcomer at Kormend, but is already one of team's top players.
