The EWE Baskets Oldenburg Bring In Jay-R Strowbridge
Late Tuesday, the EWE Baskets got active on the transfer market slowly before the close by bring in Jay-R Strowbridge and signing him until the end of the season. Strowbridge is a 24 year old 180cm point guard from Ardmore, Alabama. He is a rookie and played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (D-League) where ex ratiopharm head coach Mike Taylor now works as an assistant coach. For the Vipers, the American was averaging 8,8ppg, 2,0rpg, and 3,5apg in 19 minutes per game.
He played for three different schools in the NCAA starting with Nebraska (NCAA) where he played from 2006-2008. He then transfered to Jacksonville St. (NCAA) before closing out his NCAA career for Oregon (NCAA): 39 games: 9.4ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 40.4%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 77.0%.
