The Mitteldeutscher BC Officially Sign Ivan Siriscevic
2004 Fiba cup winner Mitteldeutscher BC have officially signed Ivan Siriscevic. Ivan Siriscevic is a 28 year old 198cm Croatian swing man that was born in Split and has mostly played in his own country, but also in countries like Bosnia, Hungary, Romania and Austria. This will be his first season in Germany. He has good size for a shooting guard. He has a great long-distance shot and can drive to the basket. He also has endurance as he plays more minutes than anyone else on his team. Last season he played for KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (A!) playing 20 games averaging 12.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 55.8%, 3PT: 43.6%, FT: 81.3%; Adriatic League: 26 games: 10.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.7apg, FGP: 43.0%, 3PT: 41.2%, FT: 83.7%. His experience is something that MBC head coach Silvano Poropat really enjoys. "With his experience level, he has been used to taking on much responsibility and we want him to do that here as well. He can play the positions 2-3. He has agreat shot and excellent defense and also is a good fats break player", stressed Silvano Poropat.
The Croatian started his basketball career in 2002 with the Split cadet team. He would gain valuable experience with top team Split until 2008 and already played ULEB cup at age 16. H ethen played the next five years outside Croatia with two seasons in Bosnia from 2008-2010. In the 2010-2011 season he played for Kecskemeti Univer KSE (Hungary-A Division) playing 31 games averaging 13.2ppg, 5.0rpg, FGP: 50.7%, 3PT: 38.4%, FT: 76.8%. In the 2011-2012 season he played for BC Timisoara (Romania-Div.A): Balkan League: 10 games: 11.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.1apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 63.2%, 3PT: 39.2%, FT: 73.3%; Romanian League: 38 games: 10.2ppg, 3.3rpg, FGP: 55.7%, 3PT: 36.4%, FT: 65.7%. In the 2012-2013 season he played for Redwell Gunners Oberwart (Austria-A Bundesliga); Adriatic League: 5 games: 6.2ppg, left in Jan.'13: 4 games: 12.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.0apg, later that month moved to Zagora (Croatia-B League, starting five), in Feb.'13 signed at KK Split (A!) playing 14 games: 13.4ppg, 3.8rpg,1.0spg, FGP: 53.6%, 3PT: 28.0%, FT: 73.1%, 1.6rpg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 23.5%.
