Thomas and Huffman clinch EuroChallenge Bronze medals
Oostende defeated Spartak St.Petersburg to claim Eurochallenge 2010/11 Bronze medals in a very challenging game. The match was very close as the game had been tied 15 times and the lead changed 13 times. 1500 people, mostly local fans, had to wait longer for the end since the outcome was decided in the extra period.
But even if the game was close from start to finish, Oostende had its ace in the hole, putting on field the 6'7 pf/c Will Thomas (in the picture) and the 6'1 point guard Trevor Huffman.
Thomas collected 15 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists, while the 31 year-old Huffman added 15 points and 4 rebounds.
This is Thomas' third year in Belgium and his third year in the Eurochallenge, having played for Liege in the past two seasons.
Huffman had already played one season with Oostende, last year, and three seasons with Okapi Aalstar.
