Tomas Delininkaitis joins AEK Athens

AEK Athens agreed terms with 32-year old Lithuanian international guard Tomas Delininkaitis. Delininkaitis managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year. He started the 2013/14 season at VEF Riga in Latvian league. The team played in three different competitions that year, Euroleague, Eurocup and VTB United League where he recorded 9.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg.
Then he moved to Torku Selcuk Universitesi Konya in Turkish TBL league. In 14 games he had 14.7ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.7apg.
The previous (12-13) season he played at SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Superleague) in Ukraine. In 31 games he recorded 13.4ppg, 2.8rpg and 3.1apg in 2012-13 season. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Delininkaitis was voted Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian UBL Guard of the Year back in 2009.
He was also a member of Lithuanian international program for some years. Delininkaitis played for Lithuanian Senior National Team between 2005 and 2013 and previously for U20 National Team in 2002. He also represented Lithuania at the European Championships in Slovenia last year. Delininkaitis' team won Silver and his stats at that event were 8 games: 4.3ppg, 1.1rpg.
Delininkaitis is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Spain (UCAM Murcia), Greece (PAOK Thessaloniki), Ukraine (Budivelnyk and Azovmash) and Lithuania (Lietuvos rytas and Neptunas).
