Toney is a long, extremely smooth and fluid athlete with excellent mobility. Impressive blend of size, athleticism and aggressiveness. Creative and efficient inside the arc. Very dangerous and confident with his pull-up jumper. Excellent overall shooting range. Explosive around the rim. Has a smooth first step and very good ball-handling skills, fluidly using change of speed and direction dribbles to keep his defender on his heels. Excellent defensive skill set. Good lateral quickness and instincts. Able to utilize his quickness and wingspan to cause havoc on the ball and in the passing lanes. Superior basketball IQ.
Toney played college basketball at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he averaged 9.9 points and 4.6 rebounds on his senior year.
