Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari announced that an agreement has been reached for the recruitment of athlete Toni Katic. Born in 1992, 188 centimeters for 82 kilograms, the Croatian playmaker arrives in Sassari as a reinforcement after the serious injury to Vasilije Pusica. Katic finds in Sardinia coach Gianmarco Pozzecco and teammates Miro Bilan and Filip Kruslin, with whom he played in Cedevita from 2015 to 2017 with Poz in the role of assistant coach.Born in Makarska, he played his career between Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina: from 2015 to 2019 he wore the Cedevita Zagreb jersey, making his debut in the main continental competitions. With Cedevita he won three consecutive national titles (2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18), four Croatian Cup (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) and the Adriatic Super Cup (2017).Last season in the ranks of Cibona Zagreb he played in the Aba League, finishing with 6.5 points and 2.7 assists per game. In 2018 he wore the jersey of the Croatian national team, together with compatriots Bilan and Kruslin, disputing the qualifiers for the 2019 World Cup.
