The Tulsa 66ers have acquired NBA veteran guard Reggie Williams from the available player pool.
Williams brings four years of NBA experience to Tulsa, holding NBA career averages of 8.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 172 games (32 starts). Williams was most recently a member of the Charlotte Bobcats from 2011 to 2013 after two seasons with the Golden State Warriors.
After playing collegiately for four seasons at Virginia Military Institute, Williams spent a year overseas before joining the NBA D-League with the Sioux Falls Skforce in 2009. Williams played 31 games (all starts) with the Skyforce, averaging 26.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals before signing with Golden State in March of 2010. He was named to the All-NBA D-League First Team for the 2009-10 season.
While at VMI, Williams averaged 22.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals.
Yesterday afternoon Williams wore for the first time his new uniform when the 66ers faced the Iowa Energy in Des Moines, Iowa. In 42 minutes he collected 26 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals
