The Bulgarian champion Lukoil Akademik is working hard to build a roster that will help the team to defend the title. That's why the club made two important signings. The first one is the contract extension of the 6.7” small forward/power forward Veselin Veselinov  (left picture) who will play for Lukoil for another year. This will be Veselinov's third season with the club, after having won the National League twice in the past two seasons. Last year he tallied 5.9 ppg and 2.3 rpg in the Bulgarian League.
The new entry is the 6.5” point guard Bozhidar Avramov (right picture), on his return in Bulgaria. The 20 years old player left his country in 2007 when he joined the Pamesa Valencia youth team becoming one of the biggest basketball talents in Europe. In January he moved to Greece where he played for Gymnastikos Olympia Larissas. Bozhidar will wear Lukoil's jersey for the next two years.
