Atletico Welcome (Uruguayan LUB) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old American forward Tyrone Nelson. The last season Nelson played at Hoops Club (Pepsi LBL) in Lebanese league where in 26 games he recorded 12.9ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.2apg.Among other achievements his team made it to the Turkish TB2L Semifinals in 2013. Nelson received also Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TB2L Forward of the Year award back in 2012 and 2013.Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Nelson has played previously professionally in Finland (Namika Lahti), TPBL (Houston P.T.S.) and Turkey (Akhisar Bld).He attended New Mexico State until 2007 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
