U20 Macedonia statistics: Dimcevski most complete player, Simonovski best scorer
Recently U20 Macedonia participated at U20 European Championship Division B which was held in Skopje. The hosts came close to pulling a surprise appearance at the semifinals, but did not have that extra edge to push them through. Instead they finished 6th suffering two heavy losses to Czech Republic and Holland which in the end won the Tournament. As a Team, U20 Macedonia averaged 70 points per game on 46.6% shooting for two and 35.2% shooting from behind the arc. Their free throw percentage stood at 66.1% while they averaged 27 rebounds and 15 assists per game. It can be said that U20 Macedonia took poor care of the ball as they turned it over 13 times per game while stealing only 7 per game. Looking at the individual statistics of U20 National Team it can bee seen that the best scorer of the team was Marko Simonovski (on the left) who finished the Tournament with average of 16.2 points from 6 games played. However, the most complete player according to statistic was Ivica Dimcevski (on the right). Dimcevski was the team's second best scorer with 13.7 points per game as well as the team's best rebounder with 6.0 rebounds per game. He was also economical with his shooting, converting on 57.1% from the filed and 31.4$ from behind the arc. His weakest statistical parameter was free throw shooting as he converted only 47.1% of free throws. Dimcevski was voted All-European Championships U20 Division B 1st Team. Ivica Dimcevski signed his first professional contract with Vardar Osiguruvanje Skopje in 2007. So far he has played for all Youth categories of National Team. He played for U16 National Team in 2005 and in 2008 he participated with U20 National Team at European Championships U20 Division B in Targu Mures.
