Universitet-Yugra Surgut (Russian Superleague) re-signed 29-year old Azerbaijani ex-international center Aleksandr Rindin. He has played there for the last three seasons. In 10 Superleague games he averaged 4.7ppg and 3.4rpg last season. Rindin's team won Russian Superleague Regular Season. He was selected to Azerbaijan League All-Star Game back in 2004. Rindin also represented Azerbaijan at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 two years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 10.6ppg, 6.1rpg, Blocks-4 (1.5bpg), FGP-2 (75.0%), FT: 52.0%.
Rindin is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Italy, Poland (PGE Turow), Turkey (Pi Koleji), Russia (Ural Great and Ural Great Perm U23) and Azerbaijan (Gala-Atena).
