Muratbey Usak Sportlif Basketbol (Turkish BSL) signed 23-year old forward Berkay Candan (205-93). He played last season at Trabzonspor (BSL). In 28 games he had 3.8ppg and 2.0rpg. Candan also played 16 games in Eurocup where he recorded 3.4ppg and 2.6rpg.
The previous (14-15) season he played at Banvit (TBL). Candan also played 20 games in Eurocup. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Candan was voted Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U20 Honorable Mention back in 2012 and 2013.
He was also a member of Turkish international program for some years. Candan played for Turkish Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U18 National Team between 2010 and 2011.
He represented Turkey at the European Championships U20 in Tallinn (Estonia) three years ago. His stats at that event were 10 games: 11.4ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.2apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 43.8%, 3PT: 25.0%, FT: 66.7%.
Candan has played previously professionally in Italy (Pesaro Loreto) and Turkey (Fenerbahce, TED Kolejliler and Eskisehir Basket).
