Neftci IK Baku (Azerbaijan ABL) landed 26-year old American 196cm guard Vante Hendrix. He was the top scorer at Aktobe in Kazakhstan National League last season where in 17 games he averaged impressive 18.0ppg, 7.7rpg, 4.2apg and 2.4spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week. Hendrix also played for another Kazakhstan team BK Barsy Atyrau (National League) in Kazakhstan.

He has played previously professionally in Portugal (Illiabum).

Among many awards he played in the final of Portuguese Proliga Antonio Pratas Trophy in 2023. Hendrix was selected to Eurobasket.com Portuguese Proliga All-Imports Team in 2023.

He graduated from California State University Northridge in 2022 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. Hendrix played for other colleges like: University of New Mexico, University of Utah.
