CSM Targu Jiu (Liga Nationala) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American 188cm guard Xavier Cannefax for upcoming season. Cannefax has played for the last two years at Prizreni in Kosovan Superliga. In 12 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.2apg and 1.3spg last season. Great year indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com Kosovo League All-Imports Team. He also played 8 games in Liga Unike where he averaged remarkable 17.1ppg, 3.5rpg, 6.6apg and 1.0spg. Cannefax helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com Liga Unike All-Imports Team and Eurobasket.com All-Liga Unike Second Team.He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Cannefax has played previously professionally in Holland (Amsterdam), Qatar (Al Rayyan) and Sweden (Uppsala). He played in the final of Cascade Tournament in 2016 and 2018.Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Dutch Eredivisie Honorable Mention in 2020. Cannefax graduated from Warner Pacific University in 2018 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
