Capicchioni joins Virtus AC after national team goal
Gabriel Capicchioni has officially signed with Virtus AC in the San Marino Championship. The 2006-born forward joins the club after coming through the youth ranks at Rimini and recently making his senior debut with the San Marino national team, where he scored a goal last Saturday in a friendly against Italian Serie B side Modena.
Capicchioni explained that the trust shown by Sporting Director Matteo Guiducci and the positive environment at Virtus were key factors in his decision:“I was convinced by the fact that there are very experienced people here from whom I can learn a lot. From the very beginning, I felt there was trust in me - especially from Sporting Director Matteo Guiducci, who really believed in me and spoke highly of the club environment, calling it one of its strengths. For me, the environment where you train and live is crucial for growing both as an athlete and as a person.”
Known for his power, shot, and determination, Capicchioni describes himself as a central striker, but remains open to other roles if needed:“My main qualities are strength, shooting, physicality, and the fact that I never give up. I've always played as a center forward - it's where I feel most comfortable and where all my coaches have used me so far. That said, I’m at the team’s and coach’s disposal and I can also play as a winger.”"
