Eleventh ranked Tuscany Pistoia won an overtime thriller edging 8th ranked AV Cantu by one point 88-87. AV Cantu was tied at the half and again at the end of regular time. But they could not keep up in overtime eventually losing that period 9-10. Tuscany Pistoia made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game.
The Italian/Argentinian point guard Ariel Filloy has been fundamental for the winners, as he collected 19 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 40 minutes on the floor. Last season Ariel played for Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, winning the Eurochallenge 2014. He's been a member of the Italian U20 National Team (winning bronze at  Nova Gorica, in 2007) and he's looking forward to be a member of the Senior National Team.
Tuscany Pistoia (10-13) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated AV Cantu. Tuscany Pistoia will play against higher ranked Enel Brindisi (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AV Cantu will play against Upea CdO and hopes to get back on the winning track.
