Yesterday's  game had a very big importance for Italian Seria A second-ranked team  Giorgo Tesi Pistoia as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Giorgo Tesi Pistoia defeated Juvecaserta in Pistoia 93-84 in overtime. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Juvecaserta. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Juvecaserta won second period 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Juvecaserta used huge pressure winning it 20-19 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 5-14. Giorgo Tesi Pistoia made 24-of-31 charity shots (77.4 percent) during the game
Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Argentinian point guard Ariel Filloy who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for a final evaluation index of 31.
Valerio Amoroso answered for Caserta with 10 points and 5 rebounds.
As mentioned above Pistoia took over a top position. Juvecaserta at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Openjobmetis V. and Betaland CdO. Juvecaserta will play next round against AV Cantu trying to get back on the winning streak. Giorgo Tesi PT will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Betaland CdO at Capo d'Orlando.
