A very interesting game took place in Andrezieux. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Rueil  to ninth ranked ALS Basket 72-71 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-18. But Rueil won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rueil 45-33 including 30 on the defensive glass. ALS Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Jerrold Brooks who saved his team from a defeat with 27 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals.
ALS Basket moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Challans and Chartres. Rueil at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. ALS Basket's next round opponent will be Vitre (#16) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Rueil will play against Souffelweyersheim (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
