Napoli signs Metreveli and Brkic

Azzurro Napoli Basket of the Italian LegaDue Gold, agreed terms with 23-year old Georgian international power forward Nika Metreveli. (in the picture) It is actually his comeback to Napoli as he played here in 2012/13. Metreveli is a dual citizen owning also Italian passport.
Last season Nika played at Mec-Energy Roseto in Italian LNP Silver. In 8 games he had 7.4ppg and 3.4rpg. Metreveli also played at Sokhumi (Superleague) in Georgia. In 7 games he recorded 13.3ppg, 8.6rpg and 1.4apg. Metreveli has been also a member of Georgian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Georgian senior team since 2009 and previously for U20 National Team in 2009. Metreveli represented Georgia at the European Championships in Slovenia last year. Metreveli has played previously for three other Italy teams: Rimini, Montepaschi Siena and FCM Ferentino.
But this is not the only signing for Azzurro Napoli as the team confirmed in their roster 32-year old Italian ex-international power forward David Brkic, who played there last season. In 30 LNP Gold games David had 11.8ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.4apg..
The list of his recent achievements is quite long as among others his team won Italian Lega Due Cup in 2011. Brkic was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Italian Lega2 Domestic Player of the Year back in 2010. He was a member of Italian international program for some years. Brkic was called to Italian Senior National Team between 2001 and 2004 with 9 total games (48 points) and previously for U16, U18 & U20 National Teams. He has played also professionally in Austria, Spain (Cantabria) and Italy (Fabriano, Juvecaserta, Pavia, Ferrara, Udine, Imola, Rimini and Virtus Bologna where he grown playing also in Euroleague).
