Penarol Mar del Plata (La Liga) tabbed 33-year old Maltese ex-international shooting guard Darryl Jackson. He played most recently at Unieuro Forli in Italian Serie A2. In 30 games he averaged impressive 18.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.4apg and 1.1spg in 2017-18 season. He can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A2 Honorable Mention.The most of previous (2016-17) season Jackson spent at Basket Scafati (Serie A) in Italy where in 17 games he had very remarkable stats: 18.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.7apg. Good season as he was selected League Player of the Week. Jackson also played for JuveCaserta (Serie A) in Italy. In 12 games he recorded just 2.7ppg. Good season as he was also here selected League Player of the Week.Among other achievements Jackson won Cyprus League championship title in 2012. He received also Eurobasket.com All-European Championship for Small Countries 1st Team award back in 2014.Jackson represented Malta at the European Championship for Small Countries in Gibraltar five years ago.He is a very experienced player. Jackson has played also professionally in Georgia (Abkhazeti), Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg), Romania (Pitesti), Cyprus (Etha) and IBL (Vancouver V.).He attended Warner Pacific College until 2008 and it will be his twelfth season in pro basketball.
