Valencia Basket (Spanish Liga Endesa) re-signed 33-year old Canadian ex-international forward Aaron Doornekamp. He has a double citizenship as he also holds a Dutch passport. Doornekamp has played there for the last two seasons. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Doornekamp played 23 games in Eurocup where he averaged 4.1ppg, 2.9rpg, and 1.5apg last season. Among other achievements, Doornekamp's team won Spanish Liga Endesa Supercup in 2018. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Basketball Champions League 1st Team award in 2017. Doornekamp was also a member of the Canadian international program for some years. He played for Canadian Senior National Team between 2006 and 2015 and previously for U21 National Team back in 2005. Doornekamp also represented Canada at the FIBA Americas in Mexico four years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 10 games: 3.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.5apg. Doornekamp has played also professionally in Germany (Braunschweig and Deutsche Bank Skyliners) and Italy (Deco). He attended Carleton University until 2009 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
