Alessandro Ahmetaj has signed with L'Aquila 1927, returning to Italy after several seasons abroad. The Italian-Albanian midfielder spent the last campaign with ND Gorica in Slovenia's Druga Liga, recording 13 appearances and 2 goals. Between 2023 and 2025, he played in Albania's top division with Egnatia and Flamurtari, making a combined 65 league appearances and scoring 4 goals. A former Italy U16 and U17 international with 21 youth national team appearances, Ahmetaj now brings his international experience to L'Aquila 1927.
